Haitian children face severe challenges in education and nutrition, worsened by ongoing violence and economic instability. Today, it is estimated that over 1 million people have been displaced since the assassination of the president, leaving nearly 6 million people struggling to have access to food, education and basic nessesities. With 30% of gang members being minors, children are exposed to extreme risks and a Christian foundation education is one of the best ways to help these vulnable children and their families.
Education is largely privatized, with 92% of schools tuition-based, making it unaffordable for many families. Limited financial support leads to a shortage of teachers and poor school facilities, especially in rural areas. Urgent action is needed to address this crisis and protect Haiti’s children.
At Dream and Dignity Foundation, we strive to uplift the children and families of Arcahaie, Haiti by providing essential resources like education, food, clothing, and school supplies. We also promote creativity through music and arts programs, empowering children to Dream big while preserving their Dignity and building a brighter future.
